Eye contact in autism and its link to the imbalance of excitation and inhibition in the brain

Summary: In this talk, I will present evidence for the possibility of an imbalance between the excitatory and the inhibitory systems (E/I) in autism, and its impact in social interaction, and face perception in particular. I will talk about the effects of eye contact in autism, and how these can be modulated by a pharmacological intervention that affects the E/I balance.

The seminar will be held online using Zoom, in English.
